Quick checks in Discord
-
!serverhealthAdmins: the bot’s permissions in this channel, intents and configured channels. -
!diagAdmins: why Pokétwo spawns aren’t being named or pinged. -
!checklistEveryone: what’s ready and what’s on a timer today. -
/helpEveryone: the bot’s own command desk.
Getting started
What should I type first?
Run
# /start. It creates your trainer and opens your home screen with a button for everything that is ready. Then pick your partner with !starter and find your first wild Pokémon with !wild. The starting guide walks through a first session. Why does nothing happen when I type !wild?
The default prefix is
# !, but a server admin can change it with !config prefix or /setup. Mentioning the bot instead of a prefix always works, e.g. @POKEMONU wild. Many commands also have a slash version — type / to see them.Does POKEMONU cost anything?
There is no paid plan, subscription or store on this website. Everything in the bot uses virtual balances — ₽ Pokédollars and a separate coin balance — earned by playing. They have no cash value.
# Inviting the bot
My server isn’t in the list when I add the bot.
Discord only lists servers where your account has the Manage Server permission. Ask the server owner to add POKEMONU, or to give your role Manage Server.
# Which permissions does it need?
For playing: View Channels, Send Messages (and in threads), Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History and Add Reactions. Moderation, tickets, auto-roles and lock/unlock need extra permissions that you only grant if you use them. See permissions explained.
# Should I give it Administrator?
No. POKEMONU never asks for Administrator. Grant the specific permissions for the features you use.
# Commands
Slash commands don’t appear.
Check that the bot was added with the applications.commands scope (the website’s Add button includes it), that your role can use application commands in this channel (Server Settings → Integrations), and give Discord a minute after the bot restarts. Some commands are prefix-only — the command list shows which.
# It says I have to wait.
Many actions have timers: personal encounters, fishing and digging, card drops, the Battle Tower, packs, Wonder Pick and arcade rewards.
# !checklist shows everything with a timer today and !cooldowns shows arcade games.A battle command says I need a party.
Pick a starter first (
# !starter), then set a buddy with !select or up to three battlers with !party 4 12 7 using box numbers from !box. Raids also need a Raid Pass from your bag.Collecting & battles
How do server spawns work?
When Pokémon spawns is on (it is by default), wild Pokémon appear while people chat. Press Catch and type the name. Admins choose the spawn channel, rate and ignored channels in
# /setup → Spawns & games or /gamesettings.How do I avoid releasing something by accident?
Favourite it with
# !fav, or lock it with /vault lock, which also blocks trading and selling. Duplicate cleanup never offers buddies, favourites, shinies or locked Pokémon.Do my Pokétwo catches count here?
Not in POKEMONU’s own game, which is completely separate. The Pokétwo helper reads Pokétwo’s spawn and catch messages in your server to name spawns, ping you and count the day’s catches for
# !profile and !task. It never catches anything for you.Pokétwo hunt alerts
I’m not getting spawn pings.
Check your lists with
# !hunts and your mutes with !afk in that server — region and type pings only apply in the server where you added them. Admins can run !diag and !whichbot to check intents, channel permissions and that Pokétwo is in the server. Identification depends on an external recognition service; if it is down, spawns can’t be named until it recovers.Does a shiny-hunt ping mean the spawn is shiny?
No. It means a species on your shiny-hunt list appeared. Whether it is shiny is revealed by Pokétwo when someone catches it.
# Server setup
Level roles or reaction roles aren’t given.
The bot needs Manage Roles, and its own role must sit above every role it hands out in Server Settings → Roles. Discord blocks managing roles at or above the bot’s highest role.
# Why did #starboard and #task appear?
If the bot joins with Manage Channels, it creates a read-only #starboard (for rare and shiny catches) and #task channel when they don’t exist. Without Manage Channels it skips this.
# Can I turn spawns or levels off?
Yes.
# /setup has switches for Pokémon spawns, events, levels, level-up announcements, AutoMod, logs and greetings. Changes save immediately.Privacy
What does the bot store about me?
Your Discord user ID with your game data, XP, coins and settings you create (watchlists, reminders, tags, birthday). Message logging of edits and deletions is off unless a server admin turns it on. Run
# /privacy in Discord or read the privacy page. How do I get or delete my data?
/mydata gives you a JSON copy. !forgetme erases your trainer game, coins, XP and arcade history after a confirmation; a few records are tied to the server you run it in. Details are on the privacy page.No answer matches that. Try the command search or the guides.
