This page describes how the POKEMONU bot handles data, based on its current source code. Run /privacy in a server to see that server’s message-logging setting.
Summary
- The bot keys everything to your Discord user ID. It does not ask for or store your email, password, IP address or any Discord credential.
- It stores your game progress and the things you deliberately create — watchlists, reminders, tags, a birthday, preferences.
- It reads messages to respond to commands, run chat games, award XP and apply AutoMod, but it does not save your messages. Copying deleted or edited messages to a log channel is off unless a server admin turns it on.
- You can download a copy with
/mydataand erase most of it with!forgetme.

| Reminders (their text, until delivered), birthdays, tags you add | Reminders: you; birthdays and tags: per server |
| Warnings and moderation cases in which you are the member or moderator | Per server |
| Club membership, dungeon runs, world-boss contributions | Per server |

| A record of significant actions (for example claim submissions) used to investigate problems | Your account |
| Server settings chosen by admins | Per server |
The bot also counts how often each command is used per day, without recording who used it.
Messages and message logs
To work, the bot reads messages in channels it can see (Discord’s Message Content intent). It uses them in the moment — for prefix commands, spawns that appear while people chat, XP, AutoMod, the Pokémon Chain and answer-in-chat games — and doesn’t keep message history.
If a server admin enables deleted or edited message logging, the text of those messages is copied into that server’s log channel, where its staff can read it. That copy lives in Discord, not in the bot’s storage. /privacy tells you whether it’s on in the current server.
Text you deliberately give the bot — a reminder, a tag, a suggestion, a poll, a moderation reason, a claim note — is stored or posted as part of that feature.
Spawn recognition
For the Pokétwo helper, the link to each Pokétwo spawn image is sent to an external image-recognition service to identify the Pokémon. These are Pokétwo’s images, not yours. When staff correct a misidentified spawn, the image link and correct name are stored so the same picture is named correctly next time.
Who can see what
- Other members can look up your trainer card, level, arcade record and leaderboard positions, and see what the bot posts in channels (catches, battle results, trades). Warnings in a server can be listed by its members with
!warnings. - Private views —
/start,/inbox,/preferences,/puzzle,/mydataand!records(sent by DM) are shown only to you.!recordsnever names other trainers. - Server staff see their server’s logs, moderation cases and settings.
- Bot staff see Pokécoin claims in order to fulfil them.
Your controls
/privacy— what the bot stores, and this server’s logging setting./mydata(or!mydata) — a JSON file with your trainer game tables and the entries keyed to you in the bot’s other stores. The slash version replies privately; the prefix version sends it by DM. There is a short cooldown between requests.!forgetme— after you confirm, erases your coins, XP and level, arcade history, profile colour and your whole trainer game (Pokémon, items, cards, Spin Arena parts, market listings and auctions, inbox, preferences, progress, ranked record, replays, club and dungeon membership). Top bids on your auctions are refunded. For the server you run it in, it also removes your warnings, birthday, daily catch counts and coin contract. It can’t be undone./preferences— opt out of introduction and digest DMs, and mute inbox categories.!unshinyhunt all,!uncollection all,!questand!typeping clear— clear your watchlists.
What !forgetme keeps
Based on the current code, !forgetme does not remove:
- your shiny-hunt and collection watchlists, region and type pings, and ping mutes — clear these with the commands above;
- pending reminders, tags you created, and giveaway entries;
- warnings, birthdays and catch counts in other servers — run it in each server, or ask that server’s staff;
- moderation cases and Pokécoin claim records, which servers and staff need for their records;
- anything already posted in Discord channels, including log-channel copies and the staff claim log;
- copies in backups until they rotate out (below).
Backups and retention
To protect everyone’s progress, the bot takes a snapshot of its data every hour. The newest 24 snapshots are kept, then one a day for two weeks. Erased data can therefore remain in a backup for up to about two weeks. Read inbox messages are deleted after 90 days. Other game data is kept until you erase it.
Data is stored by the bot’s operator on the machine that runs the bot.
This website
This site is static. It has no accounts, no login and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. The interactive preview runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing. Pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver them.
If privacy-preserving analytics are enabled, the site records only coarse events — for example that an invite or support button was clicked, a command example was copied, or a search found results — never your search text, account or identifiers.
